About these photographs
This gallery shows a selection of male rhinoplasty cases operated on by Dr Chris Oosthuizen, a Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon in Brisbane. Each case is presented as before and after photographs of the same patient, taken in standardised views, and the interval since surgery is stated on every photograph.
Follow-up ranges from 6 weeks to 18 months after surgery. The procedures represented are 4 septorhinoplasty and 1 revision rhinoplasty, with the remaining 10 recorded as rhinoplasty. Photographs are cropped and eyes are masked to protect patient privacy; no retouching, smoothing, reshaping or filtering is applied to any image.
Outcomes vary between individuals and no surgical result can be guaranteed. Swelling settles gradually over twelve months or more, so a nose photographed at six weeks will not look the same as one photographed at a year. Swelling and tissue changes are still present at this stage, and nasal shape and function continue to evolve over time.
