About these photographs
This gallery shows 5 male rhinoplasty cases operated on by Dr Chris Oosthuizen, a Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon in Brisbane. Each case is presented as before and after photographs of the same patient, taken in standardised views, and the interval since surgery is stated on every photograph.
Follow-up ranges from 8 weeks to 18 months after surgery. The procedures represented are 4 septorhinoplasty, 1 revision rhinoplasty. Photographs are cropped only: no retouching, smoothing, reshaping or filtering is applied to any image, and eyes are masked to protect patient privacy.
Outcomes vary between individuals and no surgical result can be guaranteed. Swelling settles gradually over twelve months or more, so a nose photographed at six weeks will not look the same as one photographed at a year. Risks and possible complications are set out in our rhinoplasty risks and side effects FAQ, and the procedure itself is described on our rhinoplasty page.

Septorhinoplasty (Deviated nose)
Early post‑operative appearance at 10 weeks following open functional, ultrasonic structural rhinoplasty combined with septal reconstruction. This image demonstrates early healing only. Swelling and tissue changes are still present at this stage, and nasal shape and function continue to evolve over time.

Post surgery results 6 months after Open Ultrasonic Structure Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty.
Septorhinoplasty (Dorsal hump)
6 Months post open structure Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty.
